Member-only story
This is really a Public Service Announcement for families who worry about what the holidays will look like with their using, or newly sober, loved one.
For families who have a loved one struggling with a Substance Use Disorder/Addiction, and even in early recovery, the holidays can bring added stress, chaos and even crisis situations.
Triggers can be large or small, including things like family gatherings, alcohol being present, memories of fonder times, conflicts among family members, or even a slight remark from Aunt Sue. Just plain stress.
The * BALM (Be A Loving Mirror) wants to help, so this year we are offering our annual, FREE — open to the public, BALM Holiday Support Series calls with a twist — 2 per week for the family and 2 per week for the loved one the last two weeks of December.
